What is a lobby card? Lobby cards were a unique set of eight images distributed to cinemas at the same time as a movie poster. In the United States these images measured 11 x 14 inches and were displayed in the lobby of a cinema, hence the term ‘lobby card’. Lobby cards are considered by many to be equally as important as a movie poster and are much sought after by collectors.
