Silver Screen Originals is the love child of Jim, Kevin & Patrick whose love of cinema has shaped their lives.

Jim and Kevin worked for Yorkshire Television for over 20 years before Jim moved to Ireland and became Creative Director of Promotions at RTÉ (the Irish National Broadcaster). Kevin worked the movie memorabilia circuit for years throughout the UK following his retirement. They were married in 2015.

Patrick is a generation younger and grew up surrounded by dinosaurs from Jurassic Park and tracking down VHS releases of old movies. After completing his degree at the National Film School in Dublin, he worked as a film editor before he met Jim. Jim made the fatal error of inviting Patrick to come visit him and Kevin in Yorkshire, and they have not been able to get rid of him ever since.

‘The boys’ became a proper family the day Scruff, a very cheeky Chorkie (half Yorkie, half Chihuahua) tumbled into their lives.

Silver Screen Originals was founded during the pandemic when its eBay store roared into action. In 2026 silverscreenoriginals.com was launched.
