Watch Your Stern (1960)

WATCH YOUR STERN  (1960) is a beloved British naval comedy which assembled most of the familiar faces and creative forces behind the Carry On series. This is the original quad poster for the movie starring Kenneth Connor, Sidney James, Leslie Phillips, Eric Barker, Joan Sims and Hattie Jacques.  Directed by Gerald Thomas and produced by Peter Rogers.

The poster artwork is a quintessential example of 1960s British comedy packed with innuendo, mischief and mayhem. The poster is folded and measures 30 x 40 inches. It is in VERY GOOD condition.

What is a ‘quad’ poster? A ‘quad’ is the standard UK cinema poster measuring 30×40 inches in a landscape format. This is the most widely distributed cinema poster format in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Most quads were folded before being distributed to cinemas until the 1990s.
